Question Paper Pattern for Pre Exam

UPSC civil service examination will comprise two mandatory question paper of 200 marks for each question paper. Both Preliminary question paper will be objective type of nature. Questions will multiple choice Questions only. Question paper medium will be Hindi and English language. You will get total 2 hour time duration for each paper.

UPSC Online Application form of IAS civil service exam 2013 registration

After two months of delay finally UPSC(union public service commission ) published notification (advertisement no 04/2013-CSP-05/2013-IFoS ) for civil service examination 2013. UPSC IAS advertisement published on 5 march 2013. Application form submission has been started from 5 march 2013. Last date of upsc ias online application form submission 4 April 2013. Application form submission and online registration will be completed in two part (Part 1 registration and part 2 registration) . This time minus marking will also applicable in prelim examination. Preliminary examination for civil service will be conducted on 26 may 2013 . first of all pre exam will be conducted fro scrutiny of the candidates after that mains examination will be hold for those candidates who will declared qualified in pre exam. Pre exam will be objective type of nature and main examination will be descriptive type. After that an interview test will be conducted for selected candidates in written exam.

How to Apply for Upsc civil services preliminary examination 2013
Eligible candidates can apply through the official website of commission which is http:// www.upsconline.nic.in. Where you can find all instruction form application form submission. Online registration will be closed on 4 April 2013 till 11;59

Eligibility criteria : minimum 21 and maximum 30 as on 1st august 2013 5 year relaxation in age will be given for sc/st candidates
Minimum education qualification : graduation
Number of Attempts : no restriction  for SC/ST , 4 attempts for general candidates, 7 attempt for OBC candidates

Application form fee : rs 100 , , female sc, st ph candidates  are exempted from application from fee submission.

pattern of upsc civil services Pre exam 2013 Syllabus

union public service commission civil services Pre exam would comprise two compulsory papers. 

Paper 1 would carry 200 marks. Total two would be given for paper I.

Paper 2 would carry 200 marks. Total two hour would be given for paper II 

Both questions will be MCQ type (Multiple choice questions) with objective questions.

Its compulsory to all candidates to participate in both paper of UPSC civil service examination for the purpose of evaluation. So if you will not participate in both paper then you would be disqualified. UPSC civil service examination would carry total 400 marks of two papers.

Total number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be about 12 to 13 times the total approximate number of vacancies to be filled in the year in the various Services and Posts. Only those candidates who will be qualified successful in pre exam would get a chance to participate in mains examination. UPSC Interview Test will carry 300 marks.
