Uttar Pradesh government conducted a cabinet meeting on 28 august 2012. Most of tet qualified candidates waiting about the decision of UP Cabinet on Uptet . A lot of suspense was in the air after the amendment in up teacher service rule 1981 in the period of previous government that teacher recruitment will be done on the basis of TET merit.
But this decision faces a lot of criticism and court cases. How ever in previous year all the teacher recruitment has been done on the basis of academic merit. Well its not topic here that that how government will done the upcoming teacher vacancy.
Now one thing is 100% has been cleared in UP Cabinet meeting that UPTET will be just screening test. It will be not a base of teacher selection.
Government also takes decision on CTET that ctet certificate can be used just as screening certificate for the recruitment of Primary teacher in primary school and junior school conducted by parishadiya Vidyalaya Basic Shiksha Parishad UP.
Everyone knows that TET is must for teacher recruitment in prathmik Vidyalaya and ucch prathmik Vidyalaya . Cabinet approved the amendment on service rule section 8 . by this amendment UPTET Certificate (Conducted by UPMSP ) and CTET conducted by CBSE would be valid for teacher recruitment.
One more amended done in UP teacher service Rule 1981 section 5 that 50 % post of Science teacher in Junior schools can be fill direct recruitment. Previously all the post of science teacher has been recruited only promotions of teachers.
