SAU is the acronym of South Asian University established by SAARC country. SAARC campus is situated on Maidan Garhi, Mehrauli in South Delhi. SAU University will concentrate on tremendously on research works and post graduate (PG ) level academic programmes. It will eventually have twelve post graduate science program and non science Faculties. SAU will have 7000 students and 700 teachers. A flagship Institute of South Asian Studies will also be established in the University.
The 1st educational session of the SAARC University started in August 2010 with the 2 courses M.A. (Development Economics) and MCA - Master of Computer Applications.
